ABOUT CHERYL
As for most of us, my life has been my teacher. Mid-life, I changed my life/career path in order to engage in work that better suited me and offered more meaning. I ultimately found my way to the ‘mindfulness’ work that I offer because I longed to find freedom from the suffering (or ‘distress’) that I had been experiencing in my life. I learned, and continue to learn, much on my life journey and feel that, based on my experiences, explorations and discoveries, I have something significant to offer. Many come to this work to perhaps relieve a stress-related symptom such as anxiety, depression, anger, OCD; to enhance their ability to focus and concentrate; to enhance their relationships with themselves and others; and/or to live life with more peace, ease and a more relaxed moment-moment state of being.
I am motivated by the great fulfillment I experience when I can assist others in opening to their own inner capacity for peace, insight and wisdom to more skillfully live their life. “Mindfulness” (or insight) is the door, the path, the process of awareness that is the foundation of what I offer. I have been practicing and teaching for over 17 years.
“The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitude of mind.” -William James
